Guild Wars: the MMO fable.

I am aware that the makers of GW are mostly ex-Blizzard staff, but that game reminds me a lot more of Fable than it reminds me of Diablo or WoW. I particularly enjoy the music. There are 2 or 3 scores in WoW that really get me, but so far every score in GW is awesome and inspiring. The world is a bit overwhelmingly large at first tho. I love the multiclass system.

I rather dislike the limited to 8 skills thing. I looked up the skill chart on gameamp.com. Each class has TONS of skills and you get 2 of them! I think the creators were a little nuts to limit it to 8. At least 10 would be nice and why does the skill bar show my custom keys? It only displays the key it's set to if you leave it set to the number keys...not so happy with that either but at least I have my personal key bind set that I am used to so it kinda isn't a problem...

The truely scary part about this game is the character creation. For the first time ever, I actually am considering making a female character. The choices for the females are so much better than the males. There is more detail, more choices and they look better, too. The many of the males are way too effeminate and the hair style choices leave much to be desired. The lack of a facial hair option, I also found to be annoying. They blend it in with the face choice so that about 3-5 total face choices amongst all the classes have facial hair and no one has a serious beard available...ugh. The only face amongst the rangers that has cool facial hair has total girl eyebrows they are thin and pointy!

And what is up with all the blondes? In game, it seems like 3 out of 4 ppl are freaking blondes. It's blond fest central...geez. Be creative ppl. The one thing with the most selection for character creation is hair color. They have a ton of choices!

Anywho, overall I give this game 2 thumbs up so far...now just to decide my second class so I can do some real adventuring....lol
